The fifth house, associated with Leo, is where we go to have some
fun. It is here that we learn lessons about tapping into our creative
spirit and our sense of playfulness, spontaneity, and self-expression.
In this self-expressive state, we want to be seen, to be noticed,
to be loved, admired, and appreciated. Through activities that support
self-expression, we celebrate ourselves and tap into a sense of being
able to trust pleasure, joy, and humor. It is here that we savor romance
and our relationships with children.
Poor navigation of this terrain could leave us humorless and unable to
savor a sense of joy for pure pleasure. Or, we could become obsessed
with personal gratification in our need to be applauded. We could
become arrogant or childish because of too much self-absorption. Successful
mastery of this territory allows us to give birth to our creative
processes in a way that supports self-expression, allows for spontaneous or
dramatic outpourings of the heart, and allows us to celebrate our lives
with others.
