Moving On Out ...Daughter

Postby MoonStone » Sat May 07, 2005 12:51 am

Hi Beth and all!

Well this weekend - Mother's Day - my daughter who will be 21 in July is making her first move.
Wow - I'm excited for her but not for me!!
Would it be okay to post her info Beth - I wasn't sure of your feelings around that so thought I had better ask first. I could just call it "Moonstone's daughter" if alright.

Thanks! She is Very determined - more so than ever before.

Shining on her for protection
It will be an 'interesting' time for all I'm quite sure ... the cat too!

Hi Moonstone,

And a very Happy Mother's Day to you! :)

I haven't gone through it yet, but I'm sure those "first moves" are more of a rite of passage for the parents than for the kids! LOL

I'm fine with your posting her chart or info, as long as it's okay with her.

Sending positive vibes to you and your daughter! ;)

Hey Beth

I've been in a long bath ... dealing etc ... or perhaps hiding in my crab shell? Well, she has been packing and understands quite a bit with her ways ... she's fine with this too . Hey - she's a Cancer, what can you do?!!??!?

Here's MoonStone's Daughter's info:

July 13, 1984 A lucky Friday the 13th!!
Whitehorse, Yukon
that is: 135W03 60N43
4:05 pm

If this expires please let me know and I'll re-send to you.

Should be Cancer Sun
Scorpio Rising (A North of 60 Child!!)
Aquarius Moon

Ahhh, such an interesting mix ... with me as a Cancer and her father as a Gemini there has been some times!! Her father and I both have Sagi Moons and Virgo Rising ..

God I'm going to miss her - even if she'll only be a short time away - it's just not ever the same... Sigh ... such is growing up for the parent ... and she is SO excited!! Bless her soul ... and yes I'm fully aware that it's better than to have 'lost' someone -- been through a bit of that many years ago.

Shining On this VIP in my life!
Thanks for any insight :)

Hi Moonstone,

Yessirree.... this is most definitely a time for her to be gaining more independence and taking on more responsibility. And, it will be fine! She's having her first Uranus/Uranus square, which we all go through during our early twenties, and it's very much about starting to cut those apron strings and forging a stronger sense of autonomy. She's probably having an especially strong tug to take more responsibility, too, since Saturn's on her Sun and the last eclipse in Aries fell in her 6th and was squaring her Sun. This brought to the forefront the independence (Aries) vs. home and family and mother (Cancer) themes, too. But, don't worry, Mom! Saturn on her Sun is going to keep her practical and responsible, and she's got natal Saturn in the 1st which will help with that as well. This is an important step for her because Saturn in the 1st people have a strong need to develop a clearcut sense of identity and to discover who they are and where they fit in the world. She'll be fine, and with a 3rd house Moon, she'll be staying in touch with you! :)

Thanks so much Beth!!

Yes -- she certainly needs to experience stuff in order to learn from it!! She is leaning strongly towards reflexology and Reiki etc. ... perhaps taking courses while working at her job ... thinking of picking up a 2nd job too.

She is anxious to make the place look like her own and develop her own 'style'. It will be good for her and I wish her only the best of course!!

Sigh

p.s. Stellium in her 9th house of Journey's and Intuition has always interested me. I had introduced her to my astrology sites and we've discussed lots of different things. Daughter is well able to see why a person is a Leo etc and has a good handle on the moon and emotions also the Rising sign. Good intuition!

Yes, Moonstone, it sounds as though she's got a good plan in place! :)

Oh, yes, that 9th house energy will keep her on a quest of sorts! LOL She'll want to be expanding her horizons in lots of ways in her search for meaning. It's wonderful that she's into reiki and the like. She's got lots of nurturing and healing energy there (Cancer and Scorpio)

She's almost exactly one year older than my son, who was born on July 12th the next year. :)

Hello zawn!

Thanks for asking -- I'm sure she found the tiniest basement suite ever but she as certainly made it her own little nest. She has her cat there and they both come home almost every weekend - the cat stays overnight but daughter usually goes homes and comes out the next day to pick up laundry and food !!

Winter is upon us with heavy frosts and hints of snow so I do hope it's warm! Her father and I visit usually when she knows we're coming but drop in every now and then -- always shelves to build for her Dad and suggestions for storage from me!! It appears she has learned quite a lot during the past few months.

Take care zaawn
and Shine On !
